ARTIST’S NOTES: Realizing how children are able to grasp even the smallest things that we usually ignore, pushed me to reflect on how much else we are missing out on every day, caught up in the frenzy and haste, and how in this we can learn from them.
Through the simplicity, the amazement, the happiness of this little girl I therefore wanted to paint another meaning of the reflection “Chaos creates, silence reveals” (the title of the personal exhibition for which I created this work).
In this sense therefore, there is an important analogy between an artist and a child.
As Picasso said, “Todos los niños nacen artistas. El problema es cómo seguir siendo artistas al crecer.” (Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist when you grow up).
